Positive Energy Buildings (PEBs) show new opportunities for the production of renewable energy and self-consumption, while providing benefits for residents and maximising cost-efficiency. The EXCESS EU Horizon 2020 project showcases how nearly-zero energy buildings can be transformed into positive energy buildings across European climatic zones.

EXCESS is in the final steps of developing four innovative demonstration projects, introducing technical solutions that enable buildings to produce more renewable energy than they consume over the course of a year.

During this online webinar, EXCESS project coordinator and Senior Researcher at Joanneum, Andreas Tuerk, and Joaquin Villar Rodriguez, Head of Internationalisation, Innovation and Singular Projects at the Andalusian Energy Agency, will introduce the latest developments of the EXCESS policy roadmap for the rollout of PEBs on a European level and share details on the EXCESS replication plans.

The webinar will give opportunity to discuss barriers and drivers for the expansion of PEBs on a policy level and the development and uptake of PEB replication.
